Apples & SNOW!!

Here are the pics I promised of our first snow.
We didn't have to wait to long after getting here!
(9 days)
First, we got some apple picking in.

Isaac taking a break from gathering apples

Hyrum, what are you doing?
(Yes, we have to start patching his eye too!)

Ethan, always the "ham"!
Look at the backgound. Gorgeous! Look closely
and you can see the Great Salt Lake.

Sarah in front of the Bountiful mountains.

This is the view right behind our house. This is
actually our neighbors yard.

What a view! This is what we look at all the
time. Plus, to the right a little is the Bountiful
Temple. We can see if from our house, especially
at night.

Picking apples. I was using an old
trick, just shake the tree and it will
"Rain" apples. Watch out, they hurt when
they hit you!

This is the "left overs" from our neighbors tree.
They had already gotten theirs and we didn't even
get them all.

They were so good I could hardly wait to try one!

Where are the good apples?

Here are all our apples. The small box we got as
a welcome to the neighborhood, the medium box
was from our tree in the front yard. The basket
is from our neighbors tree who asked us to come
help before it snows (the next day). All in all we got
about 120 pounds of apples.

NOW...
This is what we woke up to.
Seriously, the day before was 62 degrees, no clouds,
a beautiful day. Rhett and I thought that the
weather men would be wrong, like in Arizona all
the time. Even though they were saying it WILL
snow, we didn't believe it. I guess we were wrong.
See the deer tracks in the snow? We have a group of
about 25 deer that are always around. Awesome!

Hyrum and Ethan exploring it

It snowed all day!

Dallin coming home from school eating the snow.
I really hope it was clean!!

Hyrum wasn't so sure about the snow at first.
(Actually I think this was taken when Rhett
left for work)

Jensen's turn to explore

The kids were so excited about the snow that they wanted to
play in it before eating breakfast. We haven't had to shovel the
snow yet or been snowed in, so the snow is still fun and a novelty.
