Time of change

I wanted to catch you all up on the goings on here in
Utah. Things seem to be going well and we are adjusting
to the new climate. I personally (Sherry), am LOVING
it here. Our average high temp has been around 45-50
degrees. I am STILL not cold! It has been fun to see the
changes of the season. For me it is so relaxing to watch the
snow fall, sit by a fireplace a read a book. On a couple of
those cold days I baked. So therapeutic!!!
There is so much to do here that we are trying to take
advantage of all the free stuff as a family. As a few of the
pics will show. There are a few pics, I didn't use a smiley box
so that I could comment on them.
We do miss all our Arizona family and friends alot, but we are
also liking the change. We have an interesting tale to tell about
how we got here in Bountiful. Most of you know that Rhett came
up here 3 weeks before the rest of us. When he left I sent him
with a list of approx. 15 homes to look at (for rent). For some
reason none of them worked out. At this time Rhett is staying in
a hotel. So back to the computer to look for more homes. Not a
whole lot of new ones out there but I did find a couple. One looked
like a great possibility but the owner was to busy to show it.
Another was taken right before Rhett went to see it. So Rhett
decided to expand the search to a farther part of town. Bountiful.
Total opposite direction of where we were looking. Anyway, he
found this one house, loved it but wasn't sure it was quite right
for us. So he continued to try and find a place back where we were
originally looking. Nothing! When he decided to go with the one
in Bountiful, put down the deposit, he got calls for the other houses.
Wild!! Not that we are all here, we have been told MANY times that
our family was prayed here. The ward prayed for a family to move in
with boys and not only that but 9 year old boys. So here comes our
family with 8 kids and 5 of them boys, 2 of them 9 years old. I could
keep going but won't. I just know that we are here in this spot at this
time for a reason. I now know why those other houses didn't work out.
You may never know why things work the way they do, just have to
have the faith that they are right.

Any way, here are some of our current pics.

These are the mule deer that frequent our yard.

We have come to learn that most of the people
here DO NOT care for the deer. Most faces
grimace when the deer are talked about. :)
(I walked into the front yard to take these.)

Mykala doing her scripture reading.
Isn't that an awesome little spot?

One of the joys of the changing seasons, raking
the fallen leaves. Ethan took full advantage of
Rhett's hard work.

So after the raking, we got our 2nd snow fall.

Ethan again loving the weather.
He is our adventurous one!

Jensen, our 2nd adventurous one.

Pretty all covered in snow.

This is our Thanksgiving table.

Normally, I do not go all fancy. It just means
more dishes to clean. BUT Sarah is the one who
put this all together for one of her YW experiences.

Our clan at Thanksgiving dinner.
We all really enjoyed having the table set up nicely.
Thanks Sarah, we just might do it again.

We went to downtown Salt Lake to see them
officially turn on the Christmas lights. Of course,
Santa was there too. This is Ethan giving Santa
a high "5".

It's hard to see all the Christmas lights, but a
good pic of the kids.

Rhett & I with the lights.

This is at temple square. Large nativity scenes
from around the world.

This pic does not give any justice to the scene
here of Mary, Joseph and the manger floating
in the pool in front of the temple. There was also
floating candles.

Lights on Temple Square.

Who could not enjoy this beauty?

Beautiful! Peaceful!

We hope everyone is doing well. We send our love and warm
wishes to you all.
