FINALLY!!!!

The kids have been telling me ever since we got here to Utah that I need
to go snow sledding and build a snowman with them. Well you know, as a
mom there is always something else going on and I never could. Plus to
build a snowman it has to be the right kind of snow. We don't get the "right"
kind very often. It has been getting closer and closer to Spring and the snow
was starting to melt. Therefore, I thought my chances of doing these things
with the kids were gone. It is NOT spring yet! It snowed a good one and it
was the wet, heavy snow. The perfect kind for builing a snowman. So we
did it. The only thing, because it is getting closer to spring the weather is
warmer and he was melting fast.
The first two pics are right after we made him. The other two a short time
later when he started losing his smile, and his nose. (More story after pics)

Happy snowman!

Woo Hoo! We finally got to build a snowman.

Not such a happy snowman any more.

Since we were losing him any way, Mykala
decided to shoot him with an arrow, Did you
know snowmen could bleed? Shhh, our secret
here; we used one of the cranberries that had
fallen from his smile. ;)

Now the other part of the story. Thankfully, there are NO pictures of this
event. With this new snow it was enough (kind of) to go snow sledding.
Remember I said that it was melting really fast. So slushy snow isn't so
good to go sledding in. None the less, we did. I have not been sledding
since I was a young teen and I think it was only once, maybe twice that I
went. If you remember I posted a while ago the pics of the sled run area.
Mykala made a barrier of snow at the bottom so that we wouldn't run into
the gate or thorn bushes. Lets just say the barrier didn't last AND with the
snow melting fast there is also a LOT of mud. After my few runs going down
the kids were laughing hard at my "inexperience" . I also looked as though I
had been mud wrestling. But you know what? I can happily say that I built a
snowman and went snow sledding with the kids. I can also now say, I am SO
ready for spring to finally come.
